Hi everybody!!
This time I'll make an introduction to the organization systems that you can use into your blender scene.

You'll learn:
- How to use blender layers
- How to use blender groups
- How to use blender scenes
- How to link objects and obdata between different scenes.

See you soon, and happy blending!

This tutorial helped me a lot thank you! I was looking for a way to link objects in different scenes. Just what I needed again. You have continuously helped me keep learning blender on my own Thanks!

I had a large project in the past where I put "heavy" models into separate files, and would link them into a "main_scene.blend" file. Luckily I didn't have to animate much, but I also remotely linked armatures (to move sliding doors and such). It was very confusing, and difficult to work with.

Is that done? Or was I making everything too complex? Do you know of an example where that is done efficiently? (Sintel, BBB, Elephants Dream?)

Hi again, overkill :) Some time ago I also had a large project, and I worked a lot by linking props, models and all that stuff, but I also had some troubles with armatures and all that, so I ended up linking everything except characters, wich were just appended :)

Anyways, here you have this video, wich explains how they made it with Sintel :) Hope you find it useful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1HZCp_NG7o&feature=player_embedded

See you!
