Hello Everyone!!!
I hope you're having a good time and I wish you a good upcoming 2011!
This year have been quite special for me: I started working on blendtuts, I moved to Valencia to create a Studio with a very friend of mine... :) 2011 will be a good year, or at least I'll try to make it the better I can!
Of course, my work on blendtuts won't stop, and on this "Silence Time" I've been preparing things for you on the new year. Also, I wanted to publish a timelapse for Christmas... but it wasn't posible, I've been sick lately :S After the hollidays, I'll start publishing new tutorials again, so I hope you enjoy blendtuts the same, or even more on 2011!!
I would like to use this post for give my thanks to all the Blender team for developing such a great piece of software. We're getting closer and closer of a stable release! :o)
I want to say one more thing, and is that I really appreciate all the emails I'm getting, and I really want to answer them all, but it's not possible :( Specially, is very difficult for me to answer all the emails and comments asking for help with Blender... Believe me! I try! :D
Keep coming the next Year!! And have a NICE celebration!! ;)
Hi everyone!
Recently, a new addon ("Rotobezier", developed by Daniel Salazar, alias Zanqdo) was added to Blender, and I needed to make a tutorial about it, because it's an addon that makes a lot easier to animate bezier curves :D

Hello! A couple of weeks ago I published a video, featuring an interesting timelapse recording method (Cinematic Timelapse post).
I got a lot of tutorial requests on this method in forums, email, blendernation... and I wanted to make the tutorial before, but I've been moving to Valencia (Spain) and I've been veeery busy, but as promised, here it is!!
Hi! The last week, blendtuts.com has registered a very high number of visits :) and I wanted to "celebrate" it by making a video with an idea that was in my head since a few months ago.
I love to see timelapses, but in 3d... I thought that recording a timelapse with smooth and "normal" camera movements should be possible, instead of seeing that lightspeed orbiting and panning around camera, that sometimes can result "a bit" crazy!
Hello!!
Since I opened blendtuts.com, I've received several emails asking for a facebook page, in order to make blendtuts easier to follow :)
You can access the blendtuts' Facebook page by clicking on this image (also from the banners at the right of the web on any moment ;)
I hope you like it! I'll publish there all new tutorials and news on blendtuts related "things" ;)
See you on Facebook!
Hi again!!
As I uploaded yesterday a tutorial about joining different photos into one big image... I decided to record for you the process of a more complex one, so you can take a look at it ;)
This technique is very useful for matte painting, because later, over the photo, you can add more "artificial" elements, or even compose something in 3d ;)
See you!
Well, I'm just creating this post for you to know that I've changed the previous post. I've added a new video explaining one more method, that a reader let me know and I found quite useful :)
Check the previous post HERE.
Cheers!
Hello!
This time I come with a more practical tutorial requested by an user, and it's about how to render wireframes over solid meshes.
Things you'll learn:
- 3 different ways of rendering wireframes on top of solid geometry
Level of complexity: Medium
You can also download the .blend HERE
EDIT-------- UPDATE:
In Blender Artists forums, somebody told me that there is actually a fourth method, and I found it useful, so I decided to make a quick video for updating this tutorial :)
See you!!
Hi everybody!!!
I'm pretty excited right now because blendtuts is online from this moment!!
I've been working on the idea and the web for a couple of months on my spare free time, and finally it has became real! :D
Let's hope you find it useful and everything works ok!!
Cheers! And thank you for visiting the web! ;)
Well! This is the first tutorial!
As the first one, we'll talk about the Blender's interface, so the people out there who is not used to Blender can understand it (at least basically).
So let's go for it! ;) You can see the video in HD on Vimeo, so you will appreciate better the buttons and all that stuff.
